Vote for me!

One of my photographs has been nominated to be the Showcase Picture for the London Portal on Wikipedia. It's a favorite of mine, contributed under an alias, illustrating one of London's great treasures, Sheila Gallagher, whom I met one sunny June morning. You may see it here

If you want to vote, just click on the "edit" link and add something like this: *'''Support''' - got my vote!. -- ~~~~

You'll need to add it directly under the other votes for this photograph.

Yes, I'm rather confused too. I saw your comment, Bill, but you're right, it's just sitting there. And I for one couldn't even get mine to show ANYWHERE. I wasn't sure where to put it after I clicked on edit, and do we have to use some sort of HTML? Hellllp!

Just copy my bolded italicked text above, change it to reflect your support or opposition, and paste it in under the other votes for my picture. Wikipedia is something anybody can edit, and no, you don't need to use HTML. If you make a mistake, somebody will come along and fix it.

You added it at the end of the page, after some HTML stuff. I've moved it up above this and it shows up now. I've also made an entry in the discussion page so that the regular wikifolk will know what's going on. The history page will show when each change was made, along with your IP address. It's obvious that the vote is being stacked, so I came clean aboit it. Because I'm proud of that picture, and prouder still that I got to meet Sheila Gallagher. And even more proud that I have such a great group of friends. You rock!

Thanks, Pete. But I too really did like it best. It was the most visually interesting.
