skyringI've been transferring entries from my "Skyring" journal over to my "CanberraCabbie" journal, and it is interesting to look back on my feelings and thoughts about the job ahead. For example, I didn't want to do nightshift, for fear of drunks and violence, but in practice, I've been on night shift ever since I began. And I'm loving it.
And the way things are working out, my first year as a cabbie should be an interesting one - after decades as a monopoly in Canberra, a new taxi company is starting up. I'll be on hand to document the drama.
