I started my shift late today. Went to Daltons Bookshop (where Garth Nix used to work), but their computer section was nothing like it used to be. Went to the Uni Co-op, which used to have a computer book section to drool over. But not any more. Tried Mac1, but they don't sell Mac books. Galloping trade in iPods, but. Went back to Borders and bought the WROX book on introductory Mac programming.

Nice big thick book to read on ranks and rest on the dashboard while driving, making sure not to corner the roundabouts too fastly.

OK. The whole Microsoft thing and the MCSD and stuff was a mistake. I'm back on the right side of the Force now.

Mac programming in Cocoa and C and Objective-C is going to be a lot of my part time life from now on.

I've got a great killer app in mind, but can't figure out how to make it work.

As a fallback, I'm looking at updating a Play By Mail game I did about twenty years back. In fact I've even got the data somewhere, if I can figure out a way to read a 5 1/4 floppy, that is.

Early days yet, but I'm enjoying playing with XCode and Interface Builder. Windows is hard work, but the Mac is just plain fun. It's a whole different world.
