The last three nights
Mar. 31st, 2006 10:22 amOK. I've got my accommodation booked for Guernsey. A nice B&B close to the ferry terminus.
Jersey was trickier. The only thing that wasn't over $100 was the hostel, which was a reasonable price, but a fair hike from the ferry terminus. And airport. I could end up spending a bit of money on taxis. We'll see. I might have to haul my kit up half a mile from the evening bus stop, but if there's any justice I can get a bus to town and onto the airport the next day.
Normandy is going to be a challenge. The best place seems to be Bayeux, but there's only one hostel and that seems to be a mixed bag. I'll send them off a fax, mais je ne sais pas...
Counting down the hours now. Registering books and living on nerves.
