Almost finished!

I used Word's inbuilt drawing tools to add arrows and lines to a map of New Zealand, which looks a bit cluttered around Auckland, but does the job. Should be useful for those who aren't too sure of how New Zealand is put together. Like my daughter, who seemed to have got it into her mind that we had started off on the South Island and asked when we were going to the North Island. "But we've been on the North Island for the past four days!" I replied.

***SIGH*** She has her mother's ability with maps, I'm afraid.

Just a couple of chapters left and my life can get back to normal. Or at least until I start on the sequel - Bookcrossing through OZ.

It's almost Anzac Day, so I guess that it's appropriate that I should post a link to the article I wrote about the Australian War Memorial which I intend to use in this book. I'll write an essay on various bits of Australia and then talk about my Bookcrossing adventures there. Of course I haven't been to al of Australia, in fact if you look at the map the south-east corner is about it, though Darwin, Ayers Rock, the Great Barrier Reef and Perth are about the only bits I haven't seen, most of Australia being great wodges of nothing much.

It's a clear autumn day today. A few books to pack off, a Microsoft user group to attend this afternoon. The stock market has announced a trading halt on a stock I wanted to sell off - something fishy going on there.

Anyway, must get back to work. Just thought I'd check in.

I've been putting it off for a little while now, but today I recovered my data file for my accounting software from my Server 2003 partition. Works fine. Now I've got to enter three weeks of sales.

I've ditched the rather flaky LochJournal and am using Semagic for this entry. Touch wood.

Mid afternoon and I've got my office door open to admit the cool but fresh air to rinse away the haze after my daughter forgot she'd left a pie in the oven (at 230 degrees, sheesh!) while she was working on a website. She's running FrontPage 2002 and seems to be handling it OK. Eighteen tomorrow - odd to think of my baby child as an adult. Have to get that red rose for Kerri.
